Chlorophyll is structurally similar to hemoglobin and has been found to regenerate or act as a substitute for hemoglobin in hemoglobin deficiency. Wheatgrass has high concentrations of bioflavonoids such as quercitin and luteolin which may function as adjuvants for treating inflammatory bowel disease, asthma and allergies. *
